Breakdown recovery in Central Dublin: request a tow in the app

Inside the canals: the quays, one-way streets, bus gates and multi-storey car parks.

Anyone hurt or in danger? Ring 112 first. Sort the vehicle out once everyone is safe.

The city centre, roughly the area between the Royal Canal and the Grand Canal, is the hardest place in Dublin to describe a location by phone. One-way systems, bus gates, the quays on both sides of the Liffey, the Docklands and multi-storey car parks with height barriers all make a precise pin far more useful than a street name.

In a multi-storey

Most city car parks have height limits at the entrance. Write the car park’s name, the level and the bay in the notes, and say whether the car can be pushed or rolled. Some vehicles need to be moved to street level before they can be loaded.

On a busy street or in a bus lane

Hazards on, stay out of traffic, and tell the app the side of the street and the direction. The operator can see your pin and you can see them coming.
