Drivers

What is TowNow?

An app for drivers who need a tow or roadside help in Ireland. You drop a pin for the pickup, add a drop-off address, confirm the vehicle, and the job goes out to tow operators on the TowNow network. You can follow the operator on the map while they come to you.

Where do I get the app?

It is free on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone. Search for "TowNow: Roadside Assistance" or use the buttons on this page.

Do I have to use the app?

No. If you would rather talk to someone, ring 087 452 4853, or leave your number on the request page and we will call you back.

Can I see the price before I confirm?

Yes. Before you confirm, the request screen shows the base price and the rate per kilometre for the vehicle you picked, so the distance to the drop-off decides the rest.

Someone is hurt. What do I do?

Ring 112 first. The app is for getting a vehicle moved, not for emergencies involving people.

Which problems can I pick in the app?

The request screen asks what happened: engine trouble, a crash, tyres, a flat or dead battery, a jump start, or something else. Newer versions added fuel help and a locksmith option. You can attach photos of the problem too.

Can I book a tow for later?

There are two request types in the app: emergency, for help straight away, and scheduled, to plan a pickup for another time.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken in the app. The current site shows Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Who comes out to me?

An operator from the TowNow network. The app shows the operator's profile before and during the job, and you can watch them travel to you on the map.

Where does TowNow work?

The network started in Dublin and is growing into the counties around it: Meath, Kildare and Wicklow. Open the app where you are to see operators nearby.

Something went wrong with my request. Who do I talk to?

E-mail support@townow.ie or ring 087 452 4853 with the time of the request and the registration, and we will look into it.

Tow operators

Who can join the TowNow network?

Tow truck drivers and recovery companies. Fill in the partner form with your business name, county and how many recovery vehicles you run, and we will be in touch.

How do jobs reach me?

Through the same TowNow app: operators sign in on the tower side, see requests near them and get the pickup and drop-off details on their phone.

What does it cost to join, and what do I earn?

We will go through the terms with you on the phone before you sign up to anything.

Do I need my own truck?

Tell us on the form how many recovery vehicles you run. If you drive for someone else, say so in the notes.

Can I choose where I work?

Tell us your county and the area you cover when you apply, and we will talk it through when we call.

Still stuck? Ring 087 452 4853 or e-mail support@townow.ie.
